McWilliams, who has spent a decade at his hometown club, has agreed a two-year agreement and his arrival follows on from the captures of Portsmouth defender Joe Rafferty and Peterborough United frontman Jonson Clarke-Harris.

McWilliams was offered a new deal by Northampton at the end of his current contract, which expires shortly, but has elected to join the Millers.
