Rotherham United sign former Peterborough United, Bristol Rovers and Oldham Athletic hot-shot Jonson Clarke-Harris

ROTHERHAM UNITED have agreed a deal to sign former striker Jonson Clarke-Harris – in a clear statement of intent ahead of what is expected to be a busy summer.

Clarke-Harris, 29, a former record signing at the Millers during Steve Evans’s first spell in charge, was recently released by Peterborough United.

He will join Rotherham upon expiration of his deal at Posh at the end of June. The frontman has signed a two-year-deal.

The 29-year-old, who topped the League One scoring charts twice in three years between 2021 and 2023, scored 87 goals in 190 appearances over four years with club.

He scored 13 times in the 2023-24 season as Peterborough's bid for promotion ended at the play-off semi-final stage for the second successive campaign.

The prolific forward has remained at London Road until the end of his contract despite despite being transfer listed 12 months ago.

He had been linked with a number of clubs including Charlton Athletic, Mansfield Town and former club Bristol Rovers.
