Rotherham United striker Paul Mullin opens up on Bradford City regrets
NEW Rotherham United striker Paul Mullin's spell at another Yorkshire club did not go in the way that he envisaged in the first half of this year.
Bradford City came calling late on in the January transfer window with the loan arrival of Mullin seemingly bolstering the club's League One promotion charge.
The Merseysider - who had spent the first half of the season on loan at Wigan Athletic before returning to parent club Wrexham - subsequently endured a frustrating spell at Valley Parade and struggled to make headway in terms of game time.
Seven of Mullin's nine appearances came from the bench and he failed to find the net.

Now present at another White Rose club, there's an element of the 31-year-old making up for lost time in 2026.
Mullin told The Yorkshire Post: "To be honest, I asked Wigan to go back to Wrexham in January and I was going to go back there to try and fight for my place for the last six months.
"And they agreed to do it and when I got there, I was obviously training for a couple of weeks and that was my aim and my plan.
"But then the opportunity to go to Bradford who were at the top of League One came up and the manager obviously called me and wanted me to go and play every week.

"I thought why not go and play at the top end of League One every week and chase another promotion type of thing.
"But then when I got there, the manager changed his mind about how he wanted to play, basically.
"It wasn't a fall-out or anything, he just changed his plans of what he thought once when he first brought me in and then that was it really.
"I just didn't manage to establish myself there, which obviously is difficult (anyway) because halfway through the season, the team have been really successful all year at doing what they've done because they were in a play-off position.
"So it was always going to be (more) difficult when the gaffer didn't want to change from what he'd been doing which was the plan at first.
"But it's totally understandable and I'm full of respect to him because they were brilliant all year. I just think if I'd have known that beforehand, then I probably wouldn't have made the switch."
Regardless of his forgettable spell in West Yorkshire, Mullin has arrived with a fair bit of fanfare at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
That is chiefly down to his exploits at Wrexham in League Two and the National Conference, where he terrorised defences and posted a formidable goals record.
Mullin scored 110 goals in 172 appearances for the Red Dragons.
Alongside considerable success at Wrexham, he has also been promoted from League Two with Tranmere Rovers and Cambridge United.
At the latter, he won the 2020-21 Golden Boot with 32 goals.
There will now be goalscoring expectation on his shoulders at Rotherham, but it is something he relishes after joining permanently.
He added: "I'd like to think I thrive under pressure. I've always had a saying that I saw many years ago that if you've got no pressure in your job, then you're doing the wrong one, so the more pressure, the better.
"But equally pressure is a privilege because if people feel like they need to put pressure on me to help us get promoted, then it means I'm doing something right.
"So I then have to live in that and enjoy it and coming out the other side of a situation being successful, there's no better feeling."
