Rotherham United transfer latest: Former Celtic man becomes signing number seven

ROTHERHAM United have completed the signing of former Celtic and Dunfermline utility man Ewan Otoo following a successful trial.

The Glasgow-born player, 23, who has previously represented Scotland under-17s, has become the club’s seventh signing of the summer window.

He has signed a two-year deal with a club option of a further year.

Otoo, who can play as a left-sided centre-half, wingback and in midfield, impressed with his versatility and combative attributes in pre-season.

He left Dunfermline at the end of last season when his deal expired with the player keen to pursue opportunities in England.

Otoo joined the Pars on a permanent basis in June 2023 following the expiration of his contract at Celtic, where he had played since signing professionally in 2019.

He made 11 appearances during a loan spell at Dunfermline in the second half of 2022-23 where he helped the club back to the Championship at the first attempt.

Previous to that, Otoo had a successful loan spell at Clyde in the 2020/21 season.

Otoo kicked on in his permanent stint at East End Park and the Pars turned down bids from the player from Stevenage and Crawley Town - both in League One - in the summer of 2025.
