Millers sign Premier League rookie

The 20-year-old midfielder – who impressed on loan at Coventry City in League One last season – has been training with Steve Evans’s squad and played in pre-season friendlies against Parkgate FC and Stocksbridge PS.

Those displays did enough to convince Evans to bring the midfielder to South Yorkshire and the Millers boss believes Ward has a “big career” in front of him.

“Everyone inside the football club, none more so than the players, will be delighted to hear the news that we have now completed the signing of Grant Ward from Tottenham Hotspur,” said Evans.

“Grant has a big career in front of him and he now has the opportunity to make steps up the ladder with a successful loan spell with the Millers.”
