NEIL REDFEARN heaped praise upon his Rotherham United side after the Millers recorded their biggest victory since returning to the Championship with a 4-0 drubbing of crisis club Bolton Wanderers.

The Millers moved out on the bottom three in fine style as they made it back-to-back home wins to hand their survival quest a significant boost against the hapless visitors.

Second half goals from Grant Ward, Danny Ward, Joe Newell and substitute Jonson-Clarke Harris - with the final two goals both set up by the recalled Tony Andreu - enabled United to claim their fourth win in their past seven matches, with the South Yorkshire outfit having reacted impressively to their 2-0 derby defeat at Huddersfield Town on December 15.

Redfearn said: "In the second half, we really opened up and the game got stretched and helped us and helped people like Grant Ward and Joe Newell and Tony Andreu, who I think played his part today.

"I thought we really broke well and looked menacing on the break.

"Four wins in seven is definitely top-six and play-off form in the position we are in at this moment in time. We have just got to keep putting these little runs together.

"There's a long way to go and everybody is talking about the Fulham game (on Tuesday) and saying we can catch Fulham.

"But we have not got to get ahead of ourselves and have just got to keep picking points.

"And if we can't win, then we don't get beat and we pick a point up and it takes us a little bit further to where we want to go.

"The message has always been 'let's get the level of performance right' and the performances have by and large in the last six games have been good and the results are starting to mirror the performances."
