The Millers took the lead in the opening 45 minutes when Wes Thomas netted at the far post, after being picked out by Mark Bradley.

Stevenage came into the game, and grabbed a deserved equaliser when Fracois Zoko took advantage of an injury to Bradley, when he found space at the far post.

But as the game looked to be heading for a stalemate, up popped Lee Frecklington to fire home a long-range winner for Steve Evans’s side.

Victory means Rotherham are now seven points clear of the seventh-placed side.
