Verdict: Wow! What a season, plenty of goals (including lots of last ‘minuters’), attractive, high-tempo football, drama and a never-say-die attitude from all the squad. A top-half finish would have been considered a success by most Millers, but a Wembley win ensured a fairytale ending.

Best player: Ben Pringle.

Biggest disappointment: Nobody.

Best moment: Winning at Wembley and beating Preston in the second leg of play-off semis.

Lowest moment: Not turning up at Bramall Lane.

Where this season has gone right/wrong: Brilliant away form and plenty of goals. Maybe should have been stronger at the NYS in the first half of season but, to be fair, we were adjusting to a new league.

Advice to manager: None. That man Steve Evans, he does what he wants!

Best opposition team: Preston over two league games.

Was the season a success or failure: Undoubted success.
