Video: Millers boss Steve Evans distances himself from Posh role

The League One club sacked Darren Ferguson on Saturday and Evans has been installed as favourite.

But the Millers boss said: “I was favourite for Sheffield Wednesday job now I’m favourite for Peterborough.

“I’m not aware of any approach, you can only put it down to internet rumour and speculation.

“I am contracted to Rotherham. My focus is on the job here, my focus is on Watford tomorrow night.

“I understand where the speculation comes from. I have good relationship with the chairman down there, I have a good relationship with Barry Fry, I don;t have a good relationship with Darren Ferguson who lost his job on Saturday, so due respect to him it wouldn’t be fitting for me to make another comment.

“Our fans should have no right to be concerned.”
