Round-up: One in, one out at Leeds United, Hull City star set for big move, Sheffield Wednesday close, Middlesbrough deal

LEEDS UNITED central defender Charlie Cresswell has completed his move to Ligue 1 side Toulouse.

Reports suggest he has switched to France for a fee in the region of £3.8m.

Cresswell, 21, had been poised to join Toulouse earlier this month, only for the deal to fall through despite both clubs settling on a fee.

The player has now had a change of heart and sealed his full-time transfer to the club after agreeing personal terms.

Meanwhile, fellow centre-half Diego Llorente is close to sealing a move back to his native Spain with the 30-year-old set to join Real Betis permanently.

One piece of incoming business has seen Leeds bring back ex-keeper Alex Cairns on a two-year deal after signing him from Salford City for a six-figure fee.

The addition of Cairns will take United’s number of designated ‘club developed players’ up to two due to the fact that he started his career at Leeds and was there for three years before the age of 21.

EFL rules mean that one designated ‘club developed player’ must be named in the team or on the bench on a match-day team sheet.

Leeds have recently lost two in the shape of Cresswell and Jamie Shackleton.

Ipswich Town are close to sealing a big-money move for Hull City's coveted vice-captain Jacob Greaves.

Everton and West Ham have also been interested in the defender, but Premier League newcomers Ipswich have now made the decisive manoeuvre and his signing is set to be confirmed shortly.

Town have also targeted Greaves' in-demand team-mate Jaden Philogene in a double deal although he has rival interest, with Crystal Palace also keen.

Sheffield United have tabled an offer for midfielder Matt Ritchie, 34, who recently left Newcastle after eight seasons. They face competition from Portsmouth.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday have lined up a move for ex-Manchester United forward Charlie McNeill, poised to become their eighth summer signing.

Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Swindon Town teenage defender Harley Hunt, 16, who also had Premier League interest.

Harrogate Town have snapped up England C right back Zico Asare on a two-year contract.
