Scunthorpe United v Doncaster Rovers: Sharp treads disciplinary tightrope

DONCASTER Rovers striker Billy Sharp has been warned to stay in control of his emotions against former club Scunthorpe United.

Sharp, who scored 56 goals in just two seasons with the Iron, is one booking away from suspension.

He earned a caution on his return to Glanford Park last season after removing his shirt in celebration of a goal.

Rovers host Derby on Tuesday and then Sharp's former club Sheffield United next weekend.

Manager Sean O'Driscoll said: "I am sure Billy has got an eye on the Sheffield United match already – but he will be keen to do well on Saturday as always. I think he got booked after taking his shirt off when he scored there last season and he will need to be careful this time."

Scunthorpe chief Ian Baraclough has made his first signings since succeeding Nigel Adkins, Burnley's Kevin McDonald on loan and former Portsmouth striker Paris Cowan-Hall.
