Adkins moves swiftly to plug gaps with signing of experienced Canada defender
The 28-year-old has moved to Bramall Lane on a season-long loan deal from Birmingham City and could make his debut tonight at Morecambe.

“He and has got plenty of experience at a higher level, including winning promotion to the Premier League with Burnley.
“He is 6ft 2in, a big presence and his versatility will be useful as he can play at centre-half or in central midfield.”

Hide AdEdgar, a vastly-experienced Canadian international with more than 30 caps to his name, spent a little under four months on loan at Huddersfield last term but had a mixed time.
He impressed on debut in a 1-0 win at Wigan Athletic in late January only to then produce a few indifferent displays, In total, he made 12 league appearances for the Terriers.
Edgar could replace Neill Collins as Adkins reports no fresh injury worries ahead of the trip to the seaside.
