Several promising youngsters are currently continuing their footballing education away from Bramall Lane including Rhys Norrington-Davies and Regan Slater, both 21.

Norrington-Davies is making a name for himself at Luton Town, with his progress having recently been rewarded by way of three full caps with Wales.

Slater, meanwhile, is part of Grant McCann's squad at high-flying Hull City.

Speculation has linked Norrington-Davies with several clubs, but Wilder has no plans to recall him from his season-long loan with the Hatters in the new year - and says that all of his up-and-coming stars of tomorrow will be remaining contracted to the club.

He reiterated that his priority in the winter window is adding cover in defence with Jack O'Connell on the sidelines for an extended period with a serious knee injury.

Wilder, whose side welcome West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, stressed: "I am not looking to sell any of my young players.

"The situation here is that we are missing Jack O'Connell and I envisage that we bring in somebody with experience to fill that position in January and obviously at left wing-back we have Enda and Max Lowe as well."

Specifically on Norrington-Davies, he continued: "I have no intentions to recall him at all.

"He's there for the season. He's committed to Luton for the season.

"We will monitor his progress, he has done great and we will assess it at the end of the season what we do and where he goes with it.

"He's done great. Every hurdle that has been put in front of him he has got over.

"It's doing him no harm being at a good club with an excellent manager at both club level and international level.

"He's doing fabulously well."
