In-form Sheffield United striker a big doubt for Millwall trip - but better news with international forward back in mix

SHEFFIELD United manager Chris Wilder has confirmed that in-form striker Tyreece Campbell is a big doubt for Wednesday night’s Championship trip to Millwall – but better news sees Kieffer Moore return to the fray.

Moore has been sidelined picking up a calf injury after coming on in the win at Bristol City on November 5.

United’s medical staff will assess Campbell (hamstring/back) ahead of the trip south after he came off in Sunday’s game at West Brom.

Alongside Moore, Rhian Brewster is in the mix after coming off on the bench late on in the draw at The Hawthorns – in his comeback game after injury.

On Campbell, Wilder, who welcomes back Harry Souttar and Anel Ahmedhodzic, who are available again after serving suspensions, said: "It’s tight and stiff, so he’s a doubt.

"Yet again, we will give him as much time as possible to try and loosen that one up.

"It’s a concern for us as he’s been outstanding as well. He’ll be a big miss if he doesn’t make it, but we’ve got another 24ish hours to loosen that up. He will be having plenty of work on that to get him hopefully ready.

"These things happen. He’s been complaining of a bit of an issue with his back which obviously leads right the way back into your body and down your hamstring.

"He felt his hamstrings tighten up and he was having extensive work before and at half-time on his back. Fingers crossed.

"The plus poiint is we have Rhian and Kieffer back, so both of those boys will be involved.”
