Ramsdale: Made two excellent first-half saves to deny Barnes and Wood, but had no chance with Mee's header. 7

Basham: Few surges forward. A whole-hearted player who has suffered along with his colleagues this term. 6

Egan: Wood and Barnes showed their nous at times and were a handful. Fired a crisp shot over in the second period. 6

Robinson: Sacrificed in the second half as the Blades sought a way back. 6

Baldock: Heart and energy, but one of many who has not had the impact of last season. Saw a deflected second-half shot flash narrowly wide. 6

Ampadu: Beaten too easily by Mee for Burnley's opener. 5

Osborn: Tried his best, but could not enforce himself against a Clarets' central midfield who have been around the block. 6

Stevens: One or two nice bits of approach play. Still inhibited by last year's standards, but pushed forward when the chance arose. Booked. 6

McGoldrick: Tried to make things happen and picked up some intelligent positions. Not many others are on his wavelength. 7

Brewster: Close with a first-half header, but it continued to not happen for him. Attitude was decent, mind. How he needs a goal. 5

Mousset: A surprise to see him start, but did not make the most of it. Peripheral. 5

Substitutes: Fleck (Robinson 57); 6

Burke (Mousset 63), 6.

Norwood (Ampadu 67), 6.

Not used: Verrips, Lowe, Bogle, Bryan.
