Goals from Marc McNulty and Jamie Murphy did the damage for the Blades as they stretched their unbeaten run to four games.

And the home side could have won by more if they had taken more of the chances they created.

Manager Nigel Clough made three changes to his side with McNulty, Harrison McGahey and Louis Reed handed starts, while Jose Baxter, Jay McEveley and Paddy McCarthy missed out.

And a bright start saw the Blades take the lead after only 14 minutes. Talented teenager Reed had a shot which Yeovil goalkeeper Artur Krysiak could only parry and McNulty pounced to net his fourth goal in his last five outings. Murphy had a shot saved by Krysiak nine minutes before the break, but the Scot put the contest out of reach with a cool finish in the 67th minute.

A fine counter-attack saw the Glovers caught cold and Murphy netted for only his second goal of the season.

Reed was again involved in the action as his through ball saw Murphy race through to score and cement the points.

Victory also saw the Blades’ make it six successive matches unbeaten at home with Clough left with plenty to smile about at the final whistle.
