Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder fuming after Blades defeat

FURIOUS Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder labelled the charge of complacency at the door of his players after questioning their attitude and desire following the 2-0 loss at Leicester City.

After an outstanding haul of ten points from the past 12 available, which has seen talk of European qualification intensity, the Blades produced a poor performance against the Foxes and only an impressive performance from Dean Henderson prevented the visitors from suffering a heavy defeat.

“Their fight was bigger than ours and that is something that I find difficult to take.

“I am not bothered about what has happened, but the next challenge and next game and next opponent and how difficult we can make it for them.

“We were way off of it. The goalkeeper kept us in the game and in every aspect of the game we were second best. I am delighted that I walk out of the ground only getting beaten 2-0 and it could have been four or five.

“We lacked thought, care, aggression, enthusiasm and every part of the game. It was a poor performance from my team in every aspect. I could have made any sort of changes at half-time.

“There were no positives I could take from the performance.”
