'It's a worry' - Darren Moore reveals fresh Sheffield Wednesday injury concern ahead of Bristol Rovers and Burton Albion fixtures

Darren Moore admits Ben Heneghan’s injury is a “worry” after the Sheffield Wednesday defender had to be helped off the pitch at Lincoln City on Saturday.

The centre back was withdrawn after 71 minutes and replaced by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru after going down with an injury midway through the second half.

Moore says it will likely be a couple of days before the Owls have a better idea of the severity of the injury but admitted a nervous couple of days were ahead.

“He’s the worry for me,” said Moore.

“He’s come off in pain, he was helped off the pitch and he’s in there now with ice on the injury.

“We need for it to settle down over the next day or two, we will get the report from the medical department but yes, right now it’s a worry.”

The Owls took an early lead at Lincoln as Lee Gregory fired the visitors in front after just seven minutes but Daniel Mandroiu’s first league goal for the Imps secured them a share of the spoils.

The result saw Wednesday go three points behind second-placed Ipswich Town, who beat Derby County 1-0 on Friday night.
