Full-back Jack Hunt joins Sheffield Wednesday in loan deal

Former Huddersfield Town full-back Jack Hunt has completed his loan move to Sheffield Wednesday.

The Owls have signed Crystal Palace full-back Hunt on a season-long loan deal.

The 24-year-old has struggled at the Eagles since joining from Huddersfield in September 2013.

He spent last season on loan with Nottingham Forest and Rotherham, and impressed against the Owls last season.

Hunt said: “I can’t wait. It’s a great time to be signing just as the lads have come back for pre-season training.

“We’ve been working hard over the last couple of days to get the deal done and I’m delighted we are there.

“I’ve played at Hillsborough before and I’ve always been impressed by the place, the atmosphere and size of the club.

“I know all about the takeover and the ambition the chairman has for the club and I’m really excited to be part of it.”

The Owls are also understood to be in talks with former Dutch international midfielder Demy De Zeeuw. The 32-year-old is a free agent.
