Verdict: It’s been a very up and down season. We started with a little more optimism than 2012-13 but, by the end of November, that had all but gone, with some fans even resigned to relegation. It was probably the right time to part ways with Dave Jones and since then the change has been astonishing. Stuart Gray has done a fantastic job.

Best player: Kieran Lee. He has so much ability, quick feet and vision.

Biggest disappointment: Michail Antonio. A quality player but injuries hampered his season and we only saw flashes of his undoubted talent.

Best moment: It has to be the resounding home win over Leeds, not just because of the result but also the manner of it.

Lowest moment: The opening 13 games; so frustrating.

Where this season has gone right/wrong: Injuries to key players ruined things.

Advice to manager: Sort out new deals for Chris Kirkland and Glenn Loovens, Then bring in another centre-half.

Best opposition team: Derby County.

was the season a success or failure: Success.
