Substitutes: May (Keane 68). Should have scored late on. 6.

Hanlan (Hutchinson 68) 6.

O’Reilly (Adelakun 68) 6.

Broadbent (Sterry 68) 6.

McCann (Ayinde 80).

Sheffield Wednesday

Maynard-Brewer: Not convincing at all and the opposite of being a calming presence in the first half. 5

Valery: Lacked intensity and bite on derby day and went through the motions at times. 4

Palmer: Back in at league level for the first time since the opening day and found it hard going at times. 5

Cooper: Stretched in the first half especially. Testing afternoon. 5

M Lowe: A welcome returnee. Unfortunately, did not exude calm as he can. 5

Bannan: Did not cover himself in glory for Rovers’ opener. Better in second half. Went close twice. 5

Mitchell: Struggled and was loose with the ball in the first half. More with it in the second. 5

Morrison: Switched from right to left relatively early. 5

Keillor-Dunn: Had an early shot on target. Capable of so much more. 4

Heskey: Brought little to the table and came off at the break. 4

Al-Hamadi: Handed a full league debut by Wednesday. Poor in first half, better after. One chance. 4

Substitutes: Burstow (Heskey HT). Possessed some threat and was a concern for Rovers. 6.

Grainger (Al-Hamadi 80).

Not used: Trueman, Fusire, Swinkels, Weaver.
