Joe Wildsmith – an important save from Ryan Giles but not over-worked despite the result. Almost caught over-playing 6

Liam Palmer – got forward to good effect from right-back 7

Tom Lees – solid in the centre of defence but not comfortable playing out from the back as Darren Moore would like 6

Julian Borner – a great ball for a chance Callum Paterson should have taken 7

Matt Penney – an uncomfortable night but his run created the equaliser 6

Sam Hutchinson – gave the full-backs the security to get forward 7

Liam Shaw – an excellent midfield performance 7

Adam Reach – did not do enough in a right-wing role 5

Josh Windass – some good play but he typified Wednesday's night by having a shot blocked and Reach skied a chance he created 7

Viktor Johansson – made some decent saves but involved in the mix-up for the equaliser 6

Matthew Olosunde – an unfortunate own goal but his brilliant stoppage-time tackle on Paterson was crucial 7

Wes Harding – an important block from Windass 7

Angus MacDonald – a good defensive performance 6

Ben Wiles – linked up with Ryan Giles 6

Florian Jozefzoon – put in a couple of dangerous crosses, including for the opening goal but sacrificed when the Millers went down to 10 men 7

Lewis Wing – made the first goal and hit the post in an excellent midfield display 8

Dan Barlaser – came off as Rotherham battened down the hatches 6

Ryan Giles – forced a good save and gave his side options out wide 7

Matt Crooks – the pattern of the game made it hard to impose himself 6
