The Owls star limped off during the midweek FA Cup defeat to Manchester City and is sidelined with a groin injury.

But defender Julian Borner - who also went off against City - should be fit for the trip to Griffin Park.

“Julian was just tightness so we’re very hopeful he should be okay,” said Owls boss Garry Monk. “We’ll check on him today and see how he feels.

“Kieran has a slight pull in the groin so he won’t be available for the weekend.

“It has been needs must in the last few weeks and he (Lee) has done very well with it. He is a fit lad. Hopefully he will be back after the weekend.”

Massimo Luongo and Moses Odubajo are back in training, while midfielder Adam Reach could return to action next week.
