Sheffield Wednesday transfer latest: Ipswich Town striker completes move - and makes a pledge
SHEFFIELD Wednesday have completed the loan signing of Ipswich Town frontman Ali Al-Hamadi.
Earlier this month, the 24-year-old was close to joining Polish club Raków Częstochowa on loan but has now moved to Yorkshire and become the Owls’ 16th summer arrival.
The forward has been on the books at Portman Road for two-and-a-half years, having been recruited after an impressive spell in League Two with AFC Wimbledon.
The Iraq international has made 29 appearances for the Suffolk outfit, scoring five goals, and has spent time on loan at Stoke City and Luton Town.

On loan at Luton last term, he missed much of the season with injury. Al-Hamadi is contracted at Ipswich until the summer of 2028.
He scored five times for the Hatters last season. He made four starts - one in the league - and 25 substitute appearances.
On signing, he said: “What people are getting is a really hungry Ali at this moment. I'm feeling the best I've felt physically and mentally for a long time. You can expect someone who gives their all and wears a heart on their sleeve.
"I was impressed by the manager’s attention to detail, his human nature of how he gets you as a person. That's part of it sometimes, just having a good connection with the manager.
