Six out of ten is Huddersfield Town's top mark in player ratings after feeble 4-0 defeat to Cardiff City

It was a night no one in blue-and-white stripes emerged with any credit from, though the final half-hour was hard to judge because Cardiff had stopped playing, knowing the three points were safely banked.

Lee Nicholls – hard to blame him for the goals he was so unprotected for 6

Matty Pearson – set the ball rolling with an own goal before being hooked at half-time 5

Michal Helik – had a header cleared off the line long after Cardiff stopped playing 5

Yuta Nakayama – incredible he stayed on after an absolute shocker of a first half, better in the second when Huddersfield switched to a back four 5

Jonathan Hogg – came deep at times to get the ball but did little with it 5

Sorba Thomas – forced Jak Alnwick into a second-half tip-over 6

Jack Rudoni – deserves credit for regularly getting into goalscoring positions, just not for his finishing. In fairness, he hit the crossbar in the 85th minute and forced a good save quicky after but most of his shooting before that was poor 6

Ben Wiles – tried hard to make something happen but it only highlighted that he could not 4

Jaheim Headley – unable to give Nakayama the help he desperately needed 4

Delano Burgzorg – missed a cross then made a chance for himself he could not take 4

Kian Harratt – shooting was way off beam 5
