STUART MCCALL was delighted with Bradford City's effort as they drew 2-2 with Exeter City on Saturday afternoon.

The Bantams led through Billy Clarke before Matt Jay and Ryan Bowman scored to put the visitors ahead.

McCall was frustrated by the nature of Exeter's goals but Bradford got a deserved point through Reece Staunton's equaliser in first-half stoppage time.

"I thought it was a terrific game. I said prior to the game it was two good footballing sides going head-to-head," said McCall.

"From our point of view, we have given two terrible goals away.

"They are probably the best attacking side we have played and we knew if they were on it then it would be difficult.

"I thought it was a really good game of football and I am really pleased with the effort."

Bantams goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell made a number of fine saves either side of the interval to help Bradford earn a point.

McCall is confident his side will continue to improve as they made it four points from their last two games.

"They had a couple of chances at 2-1 to make it 3-1 but I thought we bounced back well," he added.

"I thought it was a good, end-to-end game of football with both teams trying to win it.

"I really enjoyed the game and as a manager it is hard to enjoy it. We will look back at the goals, you can't give any team two goals like we did.

"They have been together for 18 months to two years and you can see that. We will be fine going forward."
