DANNY WILSON knows finding a travel-sickness cure is pivotal to Barnsley’s hopes of remedying their campaign.

The Reds head to Wilson’s former club Swindon today, with the promotion-chasing Wiltshire outfit having sauntered to a 3-0 win in the reverse fixture at Oakwell.

While Barnsley’s home form in the first half of the season left a lot to be desired, an upturn since Christmas has seen Wilson’s side win their past four home league fixtures.

Away from home, it is a different story, with the Reds having lost their last five away games in League One since a 1-0 victory at Bramall Lane on November 1.

Wilson said: “The test is for us now with the away spell we have.

“We have some very long journeys to go against teams who have got everything to play for.

“They are very important games to us and we have got to start getting something on our travels.

“But we won’t be going down to Swindon not to get beaten or make the numbers up. We will be going with ambition.”

Today’s test represents a considerable one, according to Wilson, although he will no doubt have noted a similarly experienced Doncaster Rovers side shocking the Robins on December 20.

Given Swindon’s lofty status, Wilson feels the pressure will be all on the hosts.

Wilson said: “It’s arguably our best test to date.

“Sometimes, when you play at home, you have that extra bit of pressure on you.

“Particularly when you are coming into this part of the season now.

“We will see if one or two of their younger lads can handle the expectation.

“We are going there without any pressure as no one will expect us to get anything.”
