LEEDS UNITED are eyeing three reinforcements to boost their squad after a shaky start to the season - with another centre-back and goalkeeper being among the targets.

United are also hoping to agree personal terms with Liam Bridcutt as they seek to bolster another key area of the team ahead of the home game with Fulham on Tuesday.

One player that they have been linked up, Barnsley’s highly-rated defender Alfie Mawson, remains firmly on the radar of Bristol City, with Robins chief and ex-Reds head coach Lee Johnson revealing that he wants to bring in a right-sided centre-half to provide cover and competition for Aden Flint following his side’s weekend win at Burton.

Johnson said: “We definitely need another centre half, that’s for sure. We didn’t have a centre-half on the bench (against Burton) and , had we lost one, we would have had to change everything.

“It’s not easy to get a quality player who is ready to go with the money currently flying around in the Championship, but in an ideal world, we will get another centre half in

Sheffield Wednesday forward Caolan Lavery is mulling over a switch to Steel City rivals Sheffield United.

Lavery, down the pecking order at Hillsborough, watched the Blades’ League One game with Rochdale, although United officials have stressed that there have been no discussions.

The Owls would be entitled to compensation if Lavery leaves as the Canada-born player is 23.

Hull City are battling it out with Derby to land Spurs defender DeAndre Yedlin.

Yedlin made 25 appearances on loan at Sunderland last season and began to impress at right back on a regular basis following early struggles with the team during his transition to defence from his natural right wing position.

The American was linked with Derby back in 2015, when the-then head coach Paul Clement was eyeing the loan market during the summer.
