After managing to avoid any fixture postponements towards the end of 2021, Barnsley’s trip to Nottingham Forest on Monday was delayed due to Covid-19.
This means the Tykes won’t play their first Championship fixture of the year until they host Stoke City on the 12th January – after a FA Cup tie with Barrow this weekend.
A win over the Potters won’t take Barnsley out of the bottom three but could move them within five points of safety.
