The Republic of Ireland international winger missed the weekend loss to Preston after suffering a kick in training, but is available again.

Carvalhal will assess utility man Sam Hutchinson (knee) ahead of tomorrow’s encounter, which sees the Owls defend a 15-match unbeaten run at Hillsborough.

Carvalhal said: “He (McGeady) is training and okay. He received a kick in training, but is training now, no problem. He can be in the 18.”

On Hutchinson, he added: “Let’s see. He’s in training and has small pain. But we must wait tomorrow to make the final decision.

“In the game at Birmingham, he received a very strong kick, which also opened up the knee. It’s a different situation to the past. We will see, but he’s training and in the short time, I don’t think we have any problem.

“Sam is playing a lot of games and playing very well and bringing a lot of energy to the team.”
