Watch as on-loan Crystal Palace goalkeeper scores bizarre own goal for Bradford City's League Two rivals

A truly bizarre own goal was scored in League Two last night (October 24).

While Bradford City, Doncaster Rovers and Harrogate Town were all in action, Grimsby Town were playing host to Colchester United.

The Pilgrims took the lead within just seven minutes, in incredibly strange fashion.

A bouncing ball was hooked in the direction of Colchester’s on-loan goalkeeper Owen Goodman, who headed the ball backwards before falling to recover and prevent it finding the net.

Goodman is on loan from Premier League side Crystal Palace and has England under-20 caps on his CV.

Colchester did recover from the difficult start, defeating Grimsby 3-2 to climb out of the relegation zone.

Goals from Joseph Taylor, Zach Mitchell and Arthur Read secured the much-needed win.

Elsewhere in League Two, Bradford and Harrogate were on the receiving end of 4-1 defeats and Doncaster were brushed aside on home turf by Salford City.
