Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom has discussed the reasons behind their decision to recall a youngster from his loan spell in League 1 and how much he could feature in the first team at Bramall Lane.

Meanwhile, Peterborough United chief has confirmed that Sunderland were interested in one of their star players but a £6m price tag proved a major stumbling block.

League 2 side Bradford City are looking for a new manager and a former Hull City boss is the favourite to land the job while two ex-Middlesbrough managers are all on the shortlist with the bookmakers.

Another club looking for a new boss are Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen and a former Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers boss with plenty of experience in the EFL has thrown his hat in the ring.

Premier League clubs continue to monitor the second tier and Bournemouth have been warned that Newcastle United could reignite their interest in a Cherries defender in the summer.

Meanwhile, Burnley are being linked with a move for a Millwall star while Leicester City and Southampton are said to be chasing a Bristol City prospect and West Ham are keen on bringing a Fulham defender across London.

Finally, a Manchester City star says his focus is not on developing as a player while on loan in the Championship but on winning games with his current team.
