Why Carlos Corberan does not rest when Huddersfield Town win

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN head coach Carlos Corberan admits that he has had precious little time to enjoy the club's recent mini-upturn - with his sights swiftly switching to the next challenge.

The Terriers head into tomorrow's Roses game with visiting Preston on the back of an uplifting four-match unbeaten Championship sequence, which has seen the club take ten ten points from a possible 12.

Town are seeking to end the best week of Corberan's rein in fitting fashion with a third win on the spin, to follow on from impressive victories over Swansea City and Derby County.

But as far as Corberan is concerned, striving for development on a daily basis, as opposed to the short term 'sugar-rush' of three points is his main motivator while also preparing for a hectic league schedule.

Alex Vallejo will again not be involved tomorrow for Town, who report no fresh injury concerns.

Corberan said: "We have to forget the result of the previous game and be focused because that every game is different and we must have a strong mentality.

"The previous game was always going to be less demanding than the next game. The next game will be harder than the last game, this is the expectation that I have after we finished.

"I cannot say I enjoy winning (for long) because all the coaches are thinking that even when you are winning one day, the results can (soon) change. You never rest.

"It is true that when you walk off the pitch and into the changing room, you appreciate the effort of the team and result that you get and after congratulating the players on what they do, you look at the next opponent and I knew Alex Neil and his team and I know that challenge.

"I would like to enjoy winning more, but you cannot do."

Danny Ward is still missing for the hosts as he recovers from a hamstring issue. Pipa is fine, despite feeling discomfort in a muscle late on in Tuesday night's triumph over Derby.
