Blades, Bantams and York suffer defeats

Sheffield United, Bradford City and York City all endured frustrating days with defeats in the league.

The Blades dropped out of the League One play-off places after a 1-0 defeat at promotion rivals MK Dons.

The decisive goal came on 67 minutes when Carl Baker fired home.

Bradford slipped to sixth spot, after a surprise 1-0 defeat on the road at lowly Yeovil Town.

Gozie Ugwu netted the winner on his debut, the goal coming in the 26th minute, with James Hanson heading over City’s best chance.

In League Two, York City suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Stevenage,

Goals from Adam Marriott and Tom Pett - one either side of the break - condemned Russ Wilcox’s side to defeat.

FC Halifax Town’s Conference game with Eastleigh was postponed due to the weather.
