YORK CITY suffered away misery to leave themselves looking over their shoulders at the drop zone following a 4-0 defeat at Wycombe Wanderers.

Gary Mills’s side never really got going Adams Park and never really recovered from giving away two penalties, from which the home side happily profited.

The first mcame in only the third minute when Dean Morgan pulled himself up from being brought down by Scott Kerr to score from the resulting spot-kick.

York were two goals behind on the stroke of half-time when Jamal Fyfield brought down Joel Grant, enabling Morgan to repeat his earlier success.

It was Grant who was on hand to make it 3-0 in the 59th minute before Dave Winfield wrapped in the 78th minute.

The Minstermen, without a win in six matches, are now just seven points clear of the relegation places after conceding four goals for the second week running.
