Morecambe v York City: Minstermen claim first point on League return
The Minstermen came from behind twice at the Globe Arena with skipper Chris Smith grabbing the first equaliser in between home goals from Richard Brodie, who converted a penalty against his old club, and Stewart Drummond.
The visitors should have fallen behind after just eight minutes but Kevin Ellison fired over an open goal after Michael Ingham had saved a low shot from Brodie.

Hide AdYork’s best chance of the first half saw Michael Coulson force Barry Roche into a flying stop from his 20-yard free kick.
But Morecambe came closest to opening the scoring before the break in almost comical fashion.
Brodie’s low cross struck City midfielder Jonathan Smith but the ball bounced back to safety off Ingham’s bar after sailing over the keeper’s head.
After Ellison had wasted two more chances, Morecambe forged ahead on 53 minutes after Chris Doig had tripped Gary McDonald to concede a penalty. Brodie made no mistake from the spot against former team-mate Ingham but, within five minutes, York were level thanks to Chris Smith’s header.
