Leeds led at the break 7-3 thanks to a try from Juan Gomez, converted by Ceiron Thomas.

But they squandered a host of other try-scoring opportunities in a first half they dominated.

Northampton, who face Munster in the Heineken Cup quarter-final next week, were the stringer, more disciplined unit in the second half, and won courtesy of Foden's late try.

Myler also kicked three peanlties as the Saints kept up the heat on Leicester at the top of the Premiership.
