Huddersfield's Heath in top-10 spot at halfway stage of English women's open amateur
Heath, a semi-finalist at Ardglass last week in the British girls’ British Open amateur championship, started with a level-par 73 and added a 76.
Lindrick's Nicola Slater, the English women’s open match play champion, shares 22nd place after successive rounds of 76.

Hide AdOther Yorkshire competitors, who missed the cut, were Woodsome Hall's Melissa Wood (77 80), Huddersfield's Megan Lockett (82 79) and Georgia Holden (81 88) and Hessle's Jess Smee (83 82).
Leading is Austrian Isabella Holpfer (66 73). The runner-up at Ardglass has a five-shot lead.
The 17-year-old is seven under par having gone round in level par on Wednesday. It kept her well ahead of her closest challengers, although Cara Gainer (Castle Royal) and Mimi Rhodes (Burtnham & Berrow) both shot one under to nibble away at the lead.
They were tied for second place on two under, three ahead of Pasqualle Coffa of Holland and Scotland’s Hannah McCook. They’re all high on a thoroughly international leaderboard which features representatives of six different countries in the top ten.
