Lindrick’s Thomson looking to help England to success in Holland

YORKSHIRE county player Jonathan Thomson is part of a six-player England team contesting the ST8TS TGH Dutch Junior Open, at Toxandria GC in the Netherlands this week.

Lindrick’s Thomson, who placed sixth in the recent Brabazon Trophy – where he shot 66 in the third round – helped Yorkshire to victory in last Saturday’s match with Cheshire at Ilkley with a resounding 7&5 singles win over Delamere Forest’s Lewis George.

His team-mates in Holland are Jamie Dick, of Gloucestershire, Staffordshire’s Gian-Marco Petrozzi, Billy Spooner, of Lincolnshire, Jordan Wrisdale (Lincolnshire) and Cheshire’s Rhys Nevin-Wharton, who was beaten by two holes by Hull’s Steve Robins on Saturday.
