Yorkshire quartet trail by just one shot after first round of Lee Westwood Trophy at Rotherham GC

The La Moye GC player carded a four-under-par 66, one ahead of Martin Brown (Pike Hills), David Houlding (Moortown), Sam Haywood (unattached) and Daniel Wasteney (Bondhay).
Rotherham’s Haywood, who turned professional and latterly became a European Tour caddie for players including Sheffield’s Danny Willett, is playing in his first major competition since regaining his amateur status last year.
The field play a further 18 holes on Wednesday with a cut then being made at the leading 40 plus ties.
The final day is Thursday when 36 holes will be played.
