Yorkshire diver Jack Laugher has won gold in the men's individual 3m springboard at the Diving World Series in China.

Laugher, a double medallist at the Rio Olympics last year, led from start to finish led as he totalled 554 points.

China's Siyi Xie and Yuan Cao were second and third with 539.15 and 510.05 points respectively.

Laugher, from Ripon, won silver in the 3m springboard in Rio having earlier pocketed a gold medal alongside synchro partner Chris Mears.

The City of Leeds pair added another medal to their collection on Friday with a silver in the 3m synchro in Beijing, scoring 427.98 points together.

Meanwhile, Tom Daley and Grace Reid competed in the mixed 3m synchro springboard and finished fourth.
