Leeds to host bases for World Cup nations


Two pool games will be played at Elland Road on the weekend of September 26/27, with three of the teams in action basing themselves in Leeds for the build-up. Canada, who play Italy on September 26, are to base themselves at West Park Leeds and also use the facilities at the John Charles Centre for Sport.
Scotland and the United States, who meet the following day, will also prepare in the city.

Hide AdScotland will utilise the facilities at Leeds University and Leeds Met, with the US to be based at Leeds Trinity and to make use of Kirkstall Leisure Centre.
England - who have used West Park Leeds in each of the past two years ahead of the Six Nations - will be based at their traditional Pennyhill Park venue in Surrey and in Salford, ahead of their final Pool A game at the City of Manchester Stadium.
