Before arriving at the UPEI, Mayer had five years in the major junior Ontario Hockey League, where he registered 228 points (113 goals and 115 assists) in 353 outings.

He spent four-and-a-half seasons with Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors - helping them to a first-placed finish and to the Robertson Cup finals in 2010/11 - before moving to the Belleville Bulls midway through the 2011/12 campaign.

Jordan was one of my main guys I wanted from day one,” said Hull player-coach Omar Pacha. “It took a while but we finally got him.

“I cannot be happier with the forwards we have signed. From day one I wanted three lines that can skate and contribute offensively.

“It will be very interesting to see the speed level we will have in the camp. We have got a lot younger and fitter. I think this will help us when we play the back-to-back games.

“We have a really good mix of everything, but the main thing is all the forwards are really good at both ends of the ice and that was key for me.”

Mayer joins Pacha, Carl Lauzon, Matty Davies, Zach Hervato, David Brown, Yan Turcotte, Sam Towner, Dominic Osman, Jamie Chilcott, Matt Larke, Eric Galbraith and Cory Tanaka on next season’s roster.
