Hull flanker Joe Stafford then raced through for Bragman to convert before, in the 11th minute of stoppage time, Ben Sullivan touched down far out.

Ilkley’s 28-20 win at Billingham was their second n succession.

They made the perfect start with a converted try from Ben Mage but the scores were soon level. Ilkley went back in front with consecutive penalties from Joe Rowntree to lead 13-7 at the break but a try from Billingham almost immediately after the break reduced the lead to a point.

Ilkley stuck at it and a try from centre Steve Nolson was converted to advance the lead back to two scores. Penalties were traded before Nolson added his second, meaning that Billingham’s try at the death counted for nothing.
