Maceo Jack expected to add welcome firepower for Sheffield Sharks

MACEO JACK comes into Sheffield Sharks for the 2026-27 Super League Basketball season already with a good idea as to how he will be expected to play.

Having three previous seasons of experience of playing in the UK top-flight - first at Cheshire Phoenix and then, last season, with Newcastle Eagles, the 27-year-old guard is familiar with the Sharks’ style.

Last year in Newcastle, Jack averaged 15.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2 assists per game.

“I’m thrilled to be signing in Sheffield,” said Jack. “I have played against the Sharks and know how coach Lyons likes to play and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.

“Each time I played at the Canon Medical Arena I really enjoyed the atmosphere, but I’m happy I’ll have the fans on my side now.”

Sharks’ coach Atiba Lyons believes Jack will add a welcome offensive threat to his team going forward.

“Maceo has proven to be a great scorer in this league, showing that at both Newcastle and Cheshire during his three seasons over here,” said Lyons.

“He will add an offensive threat to our roster for the new season which I’m excited to see on the court.

“He has also been part of winning teams in the UK which will be further experience to add to our locker room.”
