Batley Bulldogs 64 Fryston Warriors 10:Batley made to work for Fryston win

Fryston showed they were not going to be a pushover when they produced a stunning four-man movement to charge 60 metres upfield for centre Lee Land to score after only five minutes.

It may have been their only score of the half but in the opening stages of the second half they used their considerable power, strength and determination to cross the line a further four times in 19 minutes but failed to touch down successfully.

They broke the pattern when Steve Scott sliced through for their only try of the half. In between Fryston’s touchdowns Batley used their superior pace, cunning and deceptive play to rattle up nine tries and then add a further three touchdowns in the dying minutes including Gareth Moore’s hat-trick try and two from Jason Walton and Dave Manning.
