Bradford Bulls boss Kurt Haggerty talks mixed emotions and injury returns after Wigan Warriors defeat
Kurt Haggerty was left with mixed emotions after watching Bradford Bulls fall to a fifth straight loss at Wigan Warriors.
The injury-ravaged Bulls conceded five first-half tries on their way to a 38-14 defeat against a Wigan outfit that had lost their previous four games.
"I'm feeling a bit of everything – pride, frustration and disappointment," said Haggerty, whose side crossed through Ethan Ryan's late double and Zac Fulton's effort before the break.
"I thought overall we were physically good. We're a pretty potent team, when we get in areas of good ball we can score tries, but ultimately there are system failings at times that let us down because, for example, we've got Greg Eden who's come in and got hardly any repetitions with us.
"We got caught out a couple of times there but we'll get better in these moments and will learn.
"We went set-for-set for 26 minutes, then we started to break from lack of Super League experience and game time. I'm not saying it's acceptable but it's understandable of where we’re at.
"We've got to be better at those moments but there's a lot of moments I'll take out of the game to be positive about."
Bradford have next weekend off to rest and recuperate after a gruelling start to their second spell as a Super League club.

Haggerty expects the Bulls to be stronger on the other side of the Challenge Cup break.
"We'll look a different team against Hull," said the Bradford boss, who saw Fulton and Ed Chamberlain receive treatment at Wigan before playing on.
"Closing in are Jayden Nikorima, potentially Luke Hooley and potentially Eribe Doro, and a couple more.
"It's much-needed but I kind of don't enjoy these weeks because you're out of the cup and it still hurts."
