Bulls capture former Robins ace

BRADFORD Bulls have signed former Hull KR forward Rhys Lovegrove on a one-month trial.

The Australian joins after leaving Championship rivals London Broncos having previously spent just under a decade at Craven Park.

Lovegrove, 28, made more than 130 Super League appearances for Rovers but could now debut for the Odsal club at Whitehaven on Saturday.

“Rhys brings a lot of experience to the middle, whether he plays front-row or loose forward,” said Bulls boss James Lowes.

“He is a tough player who plays the game in a very physical manner and he’ll add that to the squad.

“He’ll bring his toughness and experience to the pack and add quality amongst the battle for places.

“We’ve said if quality became available we’d add it to our squad, and with Rhys I feel we’ve done exactly that.”
