Franklin Pele drops down to Championship with Bradford Bulls after ill-fated Hull FC stint

Franklin Pele has joined Championship club Bradford Bulls after calling time on his ill-fated spell at Hull FC.

The prop, who moves to Odsal on a deal until the end of the season, featured just eight times for the Black and Whites.

Bradford boss Eamon O’Carroll said: “We’re delighted to have been able to bring in someone of Franklin’s size and quality to boost our squad at such a crucial stage of the season."

Pele has become the latest overseas recruit to leave the MKM Stadium just months into his contract.

Jayden Okunbor recently joined the Bulls on loan, while Nu Brown returned to the NRL in April.

Pele played two games for York Knights during a loan spell last month but Bradford have quickly snapped him up on a permanent deal following his release by Hull to continue their recent spate of signings.

The 23-year-old failed to settle in East Yorkshire, not helped by a red card on debut in the derby against Hull KR.

Pele will now look to rebuild his career in the Championship.
