Why England star says they'll be ready for 2021 World Cup

Out of contract this term, he has so far scored 40 tries in 68 appearances for the Black and Whites since arriving from Hull KR in 2017.

Kelly, 29, has proved at times one of the most dazzling players in the competition although has come under increasing competition from Jake Connor for the playmaker role.

Hull say he will ‘return to Australia to spend time with his family and embark on new opportunities.’

Kelly said: “Firstly I would like to thank all the members and supporters for their support and to all the staff across the board.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity this great club has given me and the special memories it has given me and my family.

“I’ve been here in the UK nearly six years and now that the kids are getting older I think it’s the right time to head home.

“Hull in general will always have a special place in our hearts as my son Boston was born here!

“Hopefully down the track I can bring him back and watch a game or two.

“With all that said I’m super keen to get back to business and finish on a high with the fellas.”
